The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our guests and should provide a warm, welcoming, and professional experience from the moment they arrive. Because the majority of our guests are Russian-speaking, fluency in both English and Russian is required . Responsibilities Welcome and greet guests in a friendly and professional manner. Manage the restaurant's entrance and ensure guests receive excellent service from arrival to seating. Manage and organize reservations using OpenTable . Answer phone calls, respond to reservation requests, and assist guests with questions. Take, confirm, modify, and cancel reservations. Maintain accurate reservation records and manage the seating chart. Coordinate table assignments and efficiently manage guest flow and wait times. Communicate with servers, management, and other team members to ensure smooth restaurant operations. Monitor table availability and turnover to maximize seating efficiency. Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming host stand. Assist guests with special requests, celebrations, seating preferences, and other needs. Handle guest concerns professionally and escalate issues to management when necessary. Use the restaurant's POS system accurately and efficiently. Assist with other front-of-house duties as needed. Be flexible with scheduling, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Qualifications Previous experience as a Host/Hostess, Receptionist, or in a customer-facing restaurant position preferred. Fluent in English and Russian. Experience using OpenTable is required. Experience using a POS system is required. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Professional appearance and positive attitude. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to multitask and remain calm in a busy restaurant environment. Reliable, punctual, and responsible. Must be legally authorized to work in the United States and have valid work authorization. Flexible availability, including nights and weekends. Compensation & Benefits Starting pay: $16-$18 per hour , depending on experience and qualifications. Final compensation can be discussed in person during the interview. Two staff meals provided per shift. Full-time position, approximately 40 hours per week . Opportunities for growth based on performance and experience.
