Responsibilities Greet guests warmly upon arrival, providing friendly and professional customer service. Manage restaurant reservation systems to schedule and confirm bookings accurately. Coordinate seating arrangements to optimize table utilization and reduce wait times. Answer incoming phone calls with proper phone etiquette, assisting with reservations and inquiries. Maintain organized waitlists and communicate effectively with guests regarding wait times. Support food safety protocols by ensuring cleanliness and adherence to hygiene standards in the host/hostess area. Utilize restaurant table management systems to update seating status and manage guest flow efficiently. Qualifications Previous host/hostess experience or food service background preferred; strong customer service skills are essential. Familiarity with restaurant reservation management and table management systems is highly desirable. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a professional phone manner. Basic math skills for handling reservations, guest counts, and seating calculations. Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tables and guest requests simultaneously. Knowledge of food safety standards and hospitality best practices is a plus. Experience working with POS systems in a restaurant or hotel setting is advantageous.
