Job Description

HOST - PART-TIME WEEKENDS

Tavern Blue is looking for a friendly, outgoing, and dependable Host to join our team.

Schedule:

Friday evenings Saturday evenings 2 days per week Must be available both Friday and Saturday nights

Pay:

$13-$15 per hour, depending on experience This position also has the potential to move into a Server position after approximately 3 months, based on performance, reliability, and availability.

Responsibilities:

Greet guests with a friendly and welcoming attitude Seat guests and manage the seating rotation Answer phones and assist with reservations Help organize large parties and waitlists Communicate with servers and managers to keep seating running smoothly Keep the entrance and host area clean and organized Assist the team when needed during busy periods

What We're Looking For:

Friendly and upbeat personality Great communication and customer service skills Reliable and punctual Comfortable working in a busy, high-energy restaurant Able to stay organized and handle several things at once Previous restaurant or customer service experience is helpful but not required Tavern Blue is a fun, high-energy, beach-themed restaurant and entertainment venue in Coralville featuring wood-fired pizza, tiki cocktails, live music, events, games, and private parties.

Pay:

$13.00 - $15.00 per hour Expected hours: 13.0 per week
