In the Host/Hostess role, you will be the welcoming face of our establishment, ensuring guests feel valued from the moment they arrive. You will manage reservations, coordinate seating, and work with serving staff to ensure an excellent experience for our guests. Duties for Host/Hostess Greet guests warmly upon arrival and manage reservation bookings using restaurant table management systems such as Toast Tables or Open Table Escort guests to their tables, ensuring timely seating and optimal table utilization. Maintain clear communication with servers and front of house staff about guest needs Support the front of house team by managing waitlists and handling guest inquiries about menu items or reservations. Monitor dining areas for guest comfort and promptly address any concerns to enhance guest relations. Keep the dining environment organized, clean, and welcoming by adhering to sanitation protocols and organizational standards. Skills Proven experience as a host/hostess or in a similar customer service role within a restaurant setting. Strong communication skills with the ability to engage guests warmly and clearly convey information to team members. Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently using organizational skills and basic math for managing reservations and wait times. Knowledge of POS systems such as Toast Tables or Open Table for reservation entry and management.
