Job Description

The Breakfast Hostess is expected to provide a great start to our guests day by serving them a breakfast experience that will have the guest coming back for more.

Your essential tasks are:

a. Must provide superior customer service to all guests you encounter. b. Must complete the property's daily position duty checklist, and turn in before leaving for the day. c. Must know, understand, then demonstrate breakfast brand standards. d. Take personal ownership for preparing and serving the complimentary breakfast/social function for hotel guests under state and local food code. e. Complete week food order and submit to general manager. Put up breakfast order when it arrives as well. f. Acknowledge all guests in a friendly manner and offer to clean table and refresh coffee. g. Must have knowledge of hotel safety and security rules and procedures. h. Respond to guest inquiries about service and attractions available in the local area. i. Responsible for the general cleaning of pantry, breakfast bar, pots, pans, display trays, machines, tables and chairs. As well as cleaning the breakfast sitting area. Ensure you are washing dishes thru correct chemical and sanitation. j. Replenish foods, coffee, and tea at serving stations. k. Clean up breakfast items and place in proper storage for safety and ensure FIFO is being used at all times. l. Properly prepare for next days breakfast. m. Know your brand breakfast scores and maintain scores above brand average. n. Ensure correct temperature for hot(above 140 degrees) and cold items(below 40 degrees). o. Other duties as assigned.
