Job Title:
Part-time Continental Breakfast (M-F 5:30AM-Noon Sat-Sun 6:00AM-12:30PM)
FLSA Status:
Non-Exempt Summary Presents a well-monitored daily continental breakfast for all guests and is responsible for set up and breakdown of the breakfast buffet. Promotes a friendly and courteous atmosphere. The breakfast items should be arranged and maintained in an appealing manner and should be replenished frequently. The employee and the hospitality area should be neat and clean at all times. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following: Other duties may be assigned: Most importantly, as host or hostess, the employee must be friendly and outgoing; offering any assistance needed throughout the duration of breakfast. Therefore—employee must remain highly visible. Report all guest complaints to manager/supervisor on duty immediately. Work safely and neatly at all times report all injuries and accidents immediately. Upon arriving, start coffee, turn on ovens to pre-warm. While ovens are warming turn on juice machine, waffle or pancake machine and set out condiments, cereal, breads, muffins, milk, etc. Check hospitality areas for cleanliness and neatness. Replenish breakfast as needed. Clean tables often. Upon completion of breakfast, empty and clean coffee urns, prepare condiment baskets and put away extra breads, muffins and breakfast items. Wipe off all tables and trash cans in the hospitality area. Any maintenance problems should be reported to the front desk. Sweep and mop floor and wipe equipment. Check supplies on hand and order as needed. Take dirty linens to the laundry, replace with clean linen for next day. Clean chairs for next day. Individual must actively seek out work to be accomplished during slow periods. Individual is required to be neatly groomed and uniformed with name tag to be worn at all times. Complete any other tasks assigned as needed. Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Language Skills Ability to read and interpret documents such as operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to greet and talk to guests of the Hotel.
