Duties Greet guests with enthusiasm and genuine hospitality as they arrive, setting a positive tone for their visit Manage reservation bookings and waitlists using POS (Point of Sale) systems or designated software to optimize seating arrangements Escort guests to their tables, providing menus and answering initial questions about the restaurant's offerings Maintain cleanliness and sanitation procedures in the host/hostess area, ensuring a tidy and welcoming environment Coordinate with servers and kitchen staff to communicate guest needs and seating availability efficiently Monitor dining room capacity and adhere to food safety management protocols to ensure compliance with health standards Handle guest inquiries, special requests, or concerns promptly and professionally, escalating issues when necessary Experience Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality environment is preferred but not required; enthusiasm and a customer-focused attitude are essential Familiarity with POS systems and reservation management software enhances efficiency in this role Knowledge of sanitation procedures, food safety practices, and food safety management is highly desirable to uphold health standards Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse guests Ability to remain energetic, organized, and attentive during busy service hours Experience in maintaining cleanliness standards aligned with sanitation procedures is a plus This role is ideal for motivated individuals who thrive on creating exceptional guest experiences.
