Responsibilities Greet guests warmly upon arrival, providing exceptional guest relations and ensuring a positive first impression Coordinate seating arrangements to optimize table utilization and minimize wait times Handle guest inquiries via phone with professional phone etiquette, providing accurate information and assistance Process transactions accurately at the cash register, including bill payments and issuing receipts using POS systems Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand and cashier area to uphold food safety standards Support team members by communicating effectively about guest needs, reservation updates, or special requests Skills Proven experience as a host/hostess or cashier in a restaurant or food service environment Strong customer service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor Proficiency in restaurant reservation management and POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS Excellent communication skills, including phone communication and etiquette Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately Knowledge of restaurant table management systems and organizational skills to manage seating flow efficiently Understanding of food safety standards and guest relations principles to enhance overall guest experience
