Host Stand Team Member Lake George Waterfront Cruises & Hospitality Position Summary Lake George Waterfront Cruises & Hospitality is seeking an energetic, personable, and guest-focused Host Stand Team Member to serve as the welcoming face of our restaurants, waterfront venues, and hospitality experiences. As one of the first and last people our guests interact with, the Host Stand Team Member plays a critical role in setting the tone for an exceptional experience. This position is responsible for greeting guests with enthusiasm, managing seating and reservations, assisting with guest inquiries, and helping create a warm, organized, and inviting atmosphere. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys connecting with people, and brings a positive attitude that reflects the hospitality and vibrancy of the Lake George waterfront. Key Responsibilities Welcome every guest with a warm, genuine, and enthusiastic greeting. Manage guest seating, waitlists, reservations, and table flow efficiently. Provide guests with accurate information regarding dining options, events, cruises, and venue offerings. Maintain a polished, organized, and inviting host stand area. Communicate effectively with managers, servers, bartenders, and support staff to ensure a seamless guest experience. Assist in managing guest expectations regarding wait times and seating availability. Handle guest questions, requests, and concerns with professionalism and a solution-oriented mindset. Support special events, private functions, and high-volume service periods. Help maintain a positive and welcoming atmosphere throughout the venue. Thank guests as they depart and encourage them to return for future visits. QualificationsRequired Friendly, outgoing, and professional demeanor. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong organizational and multitasking abilities. Ability to remain positive and composed in a fast-paced environment. Dependable, punctual, and team-oriented. Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events. Ability to stand and move throughout shifts. Preferred Previous experience in hospitality, restaurants, tourism, entertainment, or guest services. Familiarity with reservation and waitlist management systems. Experience working in high-volume guest environments. Knowledge of Lake George attractions, events, and hospitality offerings. Customer service experience in a guest-facing role.
