Job Summary We are excited to welcome a friendly and organized Host to our restaurant. In this role, you'll be the first point of contact for our guests, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Your enthusiasm and excellent communication skills will help ensure every guest has a positive experience from the moment they arrive. Hosts receive $15.00/hour plus tips. Responsibilities Greet guests with a friendly attitude and manage restaurant reservations efficiently using restaurant table management systems. Manage guest seating arrangements, waitlists, and reservations to optimize table turnover and guest satisfaction. Provide exceptional customer service by addressing guest inquiries, managing phone communication with professionalism, and maintaining positive guest relations. Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization of the host stand and waiting areas, ensuring a welcoming environment. Coordinate with the front-of-house team to ensure smooth seating flow and timely service. Support food safety standards by adhering to proper hygiene practices during guest interactions. Use organizational skills to handle multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining a calm and approachable demeanor. Giving guests accurate wait time estimates and seating them in the waiting area Providing customers with menus and answering any initial questions they may have Optimizing seating at different tables to ensure even workload for wait staff Answering phones and scheduling reservations with large parties Requirements Prior experience as a host or hostess in a restaurant setting is preferred . Strong communication skills, including phone etiquette and clear verbal interaction. Knowledge of restaurant reservation management systems is a plus Experience in food service or hospitality helps in understanding guest expectations. Basic math skills for handling reservations, waitlist management, and POS transactions. Excellent organizational skills to manage seating arrangements efficiently. A friendly attitude with a passion for providing top-notch guest services and building positive guest relations.
