We are seeking a friendly and professional Restaurant Host/Hostess to join our team. The Host/Hostess will be the first point of contact for guests, providing a warm welcome and excellent service. Duties Greet guests with a friendly and welcoming attitude Seat guests and manage reservations Provide menus and relay accurate information regarding menu items Answer the phone Assist in maintaining cleanliness in the dining area Handle guest inquiries and resolve any issues promptly Collaborate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure efficient service Nights and weekends are required Experience Prior experience in hospitality, food service, or related field preferred Excellent communication and customer service skills Proficiency in using Aloha POS or similar restaurant software is a plus Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment Strong guest relations skills and attention to detail Flexibility to work in a restaurant or hotel setting

Other Job Responsibilities:

Constantly and consistently exhibit The Preserve core values and standards of service. Communicate effectively with servers and dining room manager(s) to ensure flow of guests being seated moves as efficiently as possible, minimizing guests wait time. Evaluate the dining status of seated guests in order to be prepared for guests yet to arrive. Determine number of guests in party, if reservation has been made and determine the appropriate seating location based on established standards for distribution of guests to servers. Offer alternative times or dining locations if not able to seat immediately and pro-actively offer to call about securing those arrangements for the guest if able. Maintain a current knowledge of menu items, basic ingredients and preparation methods in order to be able to answer guest's questions. Utilize computer systems to efficiently and accurately enter guest information and to collect payment from guests. Provide a warm farewell and invite guests to return again soon.
