We are seeking a driven individual who is eager to learn, contribute, and grow within a fast-paced hospitality-focused property organization. As part of Troon, you will contribute to a global leader in golf and community management. Hostess Job Summary We are seeking an energetic and welcoming Host to join our vibrant hospitality team! In this dynamic role, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere that sets the tone for an exceptional dining experience. Your enthusiasm, excellent communication skills, and ability to multitask will ensure guests feel valued from the moment they arrive. This paid position offers a fantastic opportunity to develop your customer service and hospitality skills in a lively club environment. Duties Greeting guests with a friendly, positive attitude as they arrive, making them feel comfortable and appreciated Manage reservations and seating arrangements efficiently using Toast Maintain an organized waitlist and communicate wait times clearly to guests Escort guests to their tables, providing menus and answering initial questions about the menu or restaurant policies Coordinate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure smooth seating flow and timely service Assist in managing guest relations by addressing concerns promptly and courteously Support the front-of-house team during busy periods by managing guest flow and ensuring a welcoming environment Keep the host station clean, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies Skills Previous host/host experience in a fast-paced restaurant or hospitality setting preferred Strong customer service skills with a genuine desire to create positive guest experiences Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with guests and team members Familiarity with food service operations and restaurant procedures Knowledge of hotel or guest services experience is a plus for enhancing guest relations Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail Professional appearance and demeanor, demonstrating hospitality and warmth at all times Join us as a Host/Host and be part of a lively team dedicated to delivering memorable experiences! Minimum Requirements:
High school education; or up to one month related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred Requirements:
Previous experience as a Hostess or similar entry-level role in a restaurant.
Physical Demands:
Frequently stands, walks, talks and hears. Frequently uses hands. Regularly reaches with arms and hands. Occasionally climbs, balances, stoops, kneels, crawls, crouches, tastes or smells. Frequently lifts up to 10 pounds and regularly lifts up to 50 pounds. Regularly carries trays above the head with plates of food out to tables in the dining room and lounge are.a Occasionally works in wet or humid conditions (non-weather); may come into contact with fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals. The noise level is moderate.
Certificates/Licenses:
ServSafe Certified (Food Handler & Alcohol) or TIPS equivalent.
Job Knowledge, Skill, and Ability Preferences:
Ability to read and speak English may be required in order to perform the duties of the job (e.g. the associates may be required to communicate with English speaking customers or co-workers, the manuals for the equipment the associates may use are in English). Meets state age requirements for handling alcoholic beverages. Strong ability to multitask. Strong communication skills. Attention to cleanliness and safety.. Patience and customer-oriented approach.
