Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a friendly and organized Host/Host to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced restaurant environment. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our guests, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere. You will play a crucial role in guest relations, managing reservations, and maintaining the flow of the dining experience. Duties
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and escort them to their tables.
- Manage reservations and maintain an organized seating chart.
- Communicate effectively with guests regarding wait times and special requests.
- Assist with guest services by answering questions about the menu and restaurant offerings.
- Handle phone calls with professionalism, ensuring proper phone etiquette.
- Collaborate with the restaurant staff to ensure smooth operations during peak hours.
- Utilize the Toast POS system to manage reservations on OpenTable and guest check-ins.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host/host area. Qualifications
- Previous experience in a customer service role, preferably in a restaurant setting.
- Strong communication skills with an emphasis on guest relations.
- Familiarity with Toast POS or similar point-of-sale systems is a plus.
- Excellent phone etiquette and hospitality skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining composure.
- A positive attitude and willingness to help others are essential.
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
