Responsibilities Greet guests warmly upon arrival and manage their seating preferences to optimize flow and guest experience Handle restaurant reservation management using industry-standard systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring accurate booking records Maintain organized restaurant table management systems to efficiently assign tables and monitor wait times Answer phone inquiries with professional phone etiquette, providing information about wait times, reservations, and general inquiries Coordinate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure timely seating and smooth service transitions Assist in managing guest relations by addressing questions or concerns promptly and courteously Support food safety standards by maintaining cleanliness in the host/hostess station and adhering to hygiene protocols Requirements Prior experience as a host/hostess or in food service is highly preferred, demonstrating familiarity with restaurant operations Strong communication skills with the ability to interact confidently with guests, team members, and management Experience with restaurant reservation management systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is advantageous Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tables, reservations, and guest requests efficiently Basic math skills for handling seating calculations and reservation adjustments accurately Knowledge of POS systems and familiarity with food safety practices are beneficial A friendly demeanor coupled with professional phone etiquette to create a welcoming atmosphere for all guests Morning Availability is preferred but not required.
