Manage restaurant reservations using various table management systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring smooth seating flow during busy hours. Coordinate seating arrangements to optimize table utilization while accommodating special requests and guest preferences. Answer incoming phone calls with courtesy, providing information about wait times, reservations, and menu details while maintaining proper phone etiquette. Maintain organized waiting lists and communicate wait times clearly to guests, ensuring transparency and guest satisfaction. Assist with guest inquiries about menu items or restaurant policies, demonstrating excellent communication skills and hospitality knowledge. Support food safety standards by adhering to hygiene protocols in all guest interactions and maintaining a clean host station. Qualifications Previous experience as a host/hostess or in food service is highly preferred; familiarity with restaurant reservation management systems is a plus. Strong customer service skills with the ability to handle guest relations professionally and courteously. Excellent communication skills, including phone etiquette and active listening abilities. Basic math skills for managing reservations, waitlists, and seating arrangements accurately. Experience with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is advantageous; knowledge of restaurant table management systems is essential. Organizational skills to manage multiple tables and guest requests efficiently during busy periods. Knowledge of food safety standards and hospitality best practices; hotel or serving experience can be beneficial but not required.
