As the first and last point of contact for our guests, our hosts play an essential role in creating the exceptional dining experience 2941 is known for. From warmly welcoming guests and managing reservations to coordinating the flow of the dining room, this position requires professionalism, attention to detail, strong communication skills, and a genuine passion for hospitality. The ideal candidate is friendly, confident, organized, proactive, and comfortable working in a refined, fast-paced restaurant environment. Key Responsibilities Warmly greet and welcome every guest upon arrival. Manage reservations, guest check-ins, and the restaurant waitlist. Escort guests to their tables and provide clean, properly prepared menus. Coordinate seating based on table availability, server rotation, party size, guest preferences, and overall dining room flow. Communicate special requests, celebrations, VIP guests, allergies, and other important information to the appropriate members of the service and management teams. Answer incoming telephone calls professionally and assist guests with reservations and general restaurant questions. Maintain accurate knowledge of restaurant hours, menus, special events, private dining options, policies, and other information guests may request. Work closely with servers, managers, and the service team to anticipate guest needs and maintain smooth restaurant operations. Monitor the entrance and host area to ensure guests are acknowledged promptly, including during busy periods. Check in with departing guests when appropriate, thank them sincerely for dining with us, and provide a warm final farewell. Maintain a clean, polished, and organized host stand and entrance area. Complete assigned opening, closing, and side-work duties, including maintaining menus and necessary host-stand supplies. Handle guest concerns professionally and promptly involve a manager when necessary. Maintain a polished and professional appearance consistent with 2941 Restaurant's standards. What We're Looking For A genuine passion for hospitality and taking care of guests. Warm, welcoming, and professional communication skills. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to remain composed and gracious in a busy environment. Strong sense of responsibility, punctuality, and reliability. Ability to multitask and communicate effectively with both guests and team members. Previous restaurant, hospitality, or customer-service experience is preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate.
