This role is all about creating a warm, inviting atmosphere and managing guest flow efficiently. The ideal candidate will be personable, detail-oriented, and passionate about delivering excellent guest services in a lively restaurant setting. Responsibilities Greet guests warmly upon arrival and manage wait times effectively to enhance guest experience. Maintain an organized waiting list and coordinate seating arrangements with the dining team. Communicate clearly with guests via phone to confirm reservations, answer inquiries, or provide directions. Support the front-of-house team by managing guest flow during busy hours to ensure smooth operations. Uphold food safety standards and restaurant policies while interacting with guests and staff. Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization of the host station and waiting areas. Requirements Previous experience as a host/hostess or in food service is preferred but not mandatory. Strong communication skills, including phone etiquette and clear verbal interaction with guests and team members. Basic math skills for managing reservations, wait times, and seating arrangements accurately. Familiarity with restaurant table management systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus. Excellent organizational skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during busy hours. A friendly attitude with a focus on delivering outstanding guest relations and customer service. Knowledge of food safety practices and hospitality standards to ensure a safe environment for all.
