Elk Haven Winery is looking for friendly and experienced tasting room associates to provide excellent hospitality to our guests. We will be opening a tasting room in the Harvest Yard development. Opening day to be announced soon. Our tasting room will offer wine and spirits tastings along with cocktails. We will be open daily. Our opening times will be 12-6pm to start, but we anticipate that to change as we get a better idea of traffic. The ideal candidate will have a flexible schedule.

What You Will Do :

Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: Greet each guest warmly and genuinely, in a timely manner. Present a professional, positive demeanor to visitors. Pour, present, and sell wine and spirits. Actively promote the benefits of our wine club. Educate guests on Red Mountain wine country information. Provide guests with a tailored and unforgettable experience. Check out customers and assist with the carryout of purchases to their vehicles. Check identification as required by WA state regulations for serving alcoholic beverages. Recognize the symptoms of intoxication and inform management. Maintain the tasting room sales floor and additional facility areas. Send nightly reports utilizing the reports in Commerce 7. Help with events both inside and outside the tasting room. Position :

Must be able to commute to the Elk Haven tasting room, be 21 years of age or older, and have: Experience in a winery, brewery, distillery, restaurant, or tasting room. Ability to pass a drug test that includes marijuana. Ability to lift items up to 55 lbs. Ability to stand, walk, and talk for lengthy periods of time. Ability to multitask and switch tasks quickly. Demonstrated people skills. Computer experience with POS software or ability to learn them. C7 experience a plus Availability to work weekends and evenings, ideal if you have open availability. Current Washington State Food Handler's card or ability to obtain one in the first 30 days of employment. Current Washington State Class 12 (MAST) Liquor Permit or ability to obtain one in the first 30 days of employment.

Winery, Brewery, or Distillery Tasting Room Coffee Shop, Restaurant, Hospitality, Hotel Customer Service Host/Hostess/Host Person Sales What Will Set You Apart :

High school diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate. Bachelor's Degree. Beginning, intermediate, or advanced CSW, CWE, Sommelier, WSET etc. certification. Enrollment in a university or college hospitality or enology program, etc. Experience in the wine industry. Experience with winery software.

Hourly Compensation:

$18-20 DOE + tips
