We are also looking for someone with flexibility to occasionally help cover evening shifts or assist at our Somerset, MA and Bristol, RI locations. Additional hours are not guaranteed, but there may be opportunities to pick up extra shifts. About the Position Danny Savery Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is looking for an experienced Front Desk & Member Services Coordinator for our Fairhaven academy. This is not an entry-level front desk position. We are looking for someone who already has experience working independently in a professional front desk, office, administrative, membership, hospitality, medical/dental, fitness, or similar customer-service environment. Our front desk handles much more than greeting people. This position is responsible for communication with members and parents, scheduling, lead follow-up, memberships, payments, sales, administrative tasks, and helping keep the academy organized and running smoothly. Fairhaven can become very busy during classes, so we need someone who can confidently manage several responsibilities at once without becoming overwhelmed or needing constant direction. This is not a coaching position, and employees may not train during their scheduled shift. Experience We Are Looking For Previous professional front desk, administrative, office, or similar experience is required. Strong candidates will have experience with several of the following: Managing phones, text messages, and professional emails Scheduling appointments or maintaining calendars Using customer, patient, member, or scheduling software Processing payments and answering account questions Working independently at a front desk Handling multiple customers or responsibilities at once Following up with customers, leads, or clients Sales or membership-related conversations Handling difficult or upset customers professionally Maintaining accurate records and completing administrative tasks Writing clearly and professionally with good grammar We are looking for someone who has actually performed these responsibilities in a previous position and can provide examples during the interview process. Responsibilities Greet and assist students, parents, and visitors Answer and respond to phone calls, texts, and emails Book introductory lessons and follow up with prospective students Assist with memberships, payments, account questions, and pro shop sales Learn and confidently use our scheduling and member-management systems Support coaches and daily academy operations Complete administrative tasks and follow-up responsibilities Maintain an organized and professional front desk Take initiative and recognize what needs attention without constant direction Complete end-of-shift responsibilities Help maintain a clean and professional academy Cleaning & Facility Upkeep Cleaning is a regular part of this position and is completed during every shift as assigned. This may include and not limited to: Mopping training mats Cleaning bathrooms Cleaning lobby and front desk areas Emptying trash General facility cleaning and organization Applicants must be comfortable completing these responsibilities.
