The Assistant General Manager sets the tone for the operation by leading with urgency, accountability, professionalism, and respect. Success in this role is measured not only by operational results but by the strength of the team and the consistency of the guest experience. Duties & Responsibilities Lead daily front and back-of-house operations while setting the standard through hands-on leadership. Coach, develop, and support managers and hourly team members. Ensure exceptional guest service and promptly resolve guest concerns. Maintain consistent food quality, cleanliness, and operational standards throughout the property. Hold employees accountable to company policies, attendance, performance, and side work expectations. Verify opening and closing procedures are completed thoroughly each shift. Assist with hiring, onboarding, training, scheduling, and employee development. Monitor labor, inventory, and operating costs to maximize efficiency. Review daily sales reports and assist with payroll and administrative tasks. Conduct daily walkthroughs to ensure safety, sanitation, and facility standards are met. Collaborate with department managers to ensure smooth day-to-day operations across the restaurant, bar, brewery, and inn. Be a visible leader on the floor, supporting staff and interacting with guests throughout each shift. Identify operational challenges and implement solutions before they impact the guest experience. Represent Woodstock Inn Brewery with professionalism while fostering a culture of teamwork, accountability, and respect. Experience 3+ years of restaurant or hospitality management experience preferred, but not required. Willing to train the right person. Strong leadership and communication skills. Ability to lead large teams in a high-volume environment. Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities. Experience with scheduling, labor management, and inventory preferred, but not required. Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations. Evenings, weekends, and holidays required Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. Frequently lift up to 50 pounds. Work in a fast-paced environment. Bend, reach, climb stairs, and perform physically demanding tasks as needed. $70,000.00 - $76,000.00 per year
