Job Description

WoodSpring Suites | Now Hiring WoodSpring Suites is seeking a motivated, dependable, and guest-focused Assistant General Manager to join our team! We are looking for a hands-on leader who takes pride in delivering exceptional customer service, supporting daily hotel operations, and driving the overall success of the property. The ideal candidate is proactive, organized, and willing to lead by example. Key Responsibilities Hotel Operations & Guest Service Assist the General Manager with daily hotel operations and overall property performance. Supervise, train, and support front desk and housekeeping team members. Deliver exceptional guest service and professionally resolve guest concerns. Ensure brand standards, company policies, and safety procedures are consistently followed. Assist with scheduling, inventory management, operational reporting, and expense control. Support occupancy, revenue, and guest satisfaction goals. Front Desk & Account Management This is a hands-on management position that requires working approximately 40 hours per week at the front desk to support daily hotel operations. Ensure all guest accounts, reservations, billing, and payments are accurate and up to date. Monitor guest balances, address outstanding payments, and ensure proper account management. Maintain accurate reservation records and ensure all guest information is properly entered into the property management system. Lead by example by providing exceptional guest service while maintaining operational efficiency. Sales & Business Development Actively participate in hotel sales initiatives to drive occupancy and revenue. Identify and submit potential sales leads to the sales team. Conduct cold calls and follow up with prospective guests and business accounts to generate new business. Build relationships with local businesses and identify opportunities for extended-stay reservations. Assist with sales efforts and follow-up activities as directed by management. Qualifications Previous hotel or management experience preferred. Excellent customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills. Strong leadership abilities and a willingness to lead by example. Experience with Choice Advantage PMS is a plus. Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Comfortable performing sales activities, including cold calling, lead generation, and business development. Ability to balance front desk responsibilities with management and operational duties. Open availability required, including weekends, holidays, and varying shifts based on business needs. Must be reliable, professional, detail-oriented, and comfortable taking initiative. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working directly with guests, understands the importance of operational efficiency, and can balance daily front desk responsibilities with leadership, sales, and management duties. The right candidate will be a dependable team player who takes pride in maintaining a well-run hotel, protecting the property, and creating a positive experience for both guests and employees.
Pay:
$19.00 - $21.00 per hour Expected hours: No less than 40.0 per week
