Food & Beverage Manager/Food & Beverage Director Purpose of the
Position:
The Food & Beverage Outlet Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily operations in both the restaurant and lounge areas, as well as other food and beverage outlets as needed, ensuring smooth service, exceptional guest experiences, and alignment with brand and service standards. This is a hands-on leadership position—actively involved in service while providing supervision, training, and support to staff. The role requires a commitment to teamwork, service excellence, and maintaining a positive, engaging atmosphere for guests and team members alike. Key Responsibilities:
Staff Supervision and Training:
Supervise, train and motivate restaurant and lounge staff to deliver excellent guest service. Assist with creating staff schedule and manage labor costs within department budgets. Support onboarding of new team members and ensure ongoing training is provided. Provide coaching, guidance, and feedback to maintain a positive and professional team culture. Ensure compliance with all company policies, procedures, and Holiday Inn brand standards.
Operations Management:
Actively participate in day-to-day lounge and restaurant service, supporting staff during peak periods. Monitor floor operations to ensure cleanliness, organization, and adherence to service standards. Quickly and professionally resolve guest concerns to ensure satisfaction. Collaborate with kitchen staff and other departments to ensure a seamless guest experience. Assist with opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and daily paperwork.
Inventory and Cost Control:
Assist in managing inventory levels for beverages, supplies, and service tools. Monitor product usage and help control waste to ensure cost-effective operations. Conduct routine checks to ensure proper stock rotation and storage practices.
Guest Experience:
Engage with guests to ensure a memorable and personalized dining experience. Handle guest inquires and special request with professionalism and care. Foster a welcoming, relaxed, and clean environment in both the lounge and restaurant spaces.
Quality Assurance:
Maintain high standards for food and beverage presentation and service. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations. Support brand initiatives and help execute seasonal offerings or promotions.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 2 years of experience in food and beverage service; prior supervisory or lead experience preferred. Strong leadership and communication skills with a guest-first approach. Ability to multitask, stay organized, and remain calm in high-paced environments. Familiarity with hospitality POS systems and basic financial reporting. Must be able to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25lbs as needed.
