Job Description

Farm Operations & Guest Experience Manager ROSE Therapeutic Farm & Goat Yoga - Brookshire, TX Pay based on Experience | 30-35 hours per week ROSE Therapeutic Farm is looking for an experienced, dependable, hands-on Farm Operations & Guest Experience Manager to help oversee the daily operations of our 12-acre agritourism farm. This is not a desk management position . We're looking for someone who enjoys working with both animals and people , can lead a team, and isn't afraid to roll up their sleeves and work alongside staff. What You'll Do Animal Care & Farm Operations Oversee daily feeding, watering, cleaning and animal-care routines Monitor animals for changes in health, appetite, behavior or condition Help care for goats, cattle, donkeys, chickens, pigs, sheep and other farm animals Assist with newborns, young animals and bottle babies Recognize common livestock concerns, including parasites, wounds, digestive issues and respiratory illness Administer routine medications, vaccines, dewormers, supplements and basic treatments as appropriate Maintain animal health and treatment records Conduct daily farm walkthroughs to identify animal-care, safety, maintenance or operational concerns Monitor feed, medications and other farm supplies Ensure animal areas and guest areas are clean, safe and well maintained Team Leadership Supervise and coordinate farm and guest-experience employees Assign daily responsibilities and ensure tasks are completed properly Train and support new employees Help maintain accountability and high standards of animal care Communicate important issues and updates to the owner Lead by example and jump in wherever needed Guest Experience Help oversee operations during public farm hours, animal experiences and special events Welcome and interact with guests Ensure guests have safe, positive and memorable animal experiences Answer questions and assist families and groups Professionally handle guest questions or concerns Make sure the farm is clean, organized and guest-ready Qualifications Animal/farm experience is required. We're looking for someone with: Meaningful hands-on experience caring for goats, livestock or other farm animals Knowledge of basic livestock health and husbandry Experience recognizing common illnesses and animal health concerns Strong customer-service and communication skills Leadership, supervisory or management experience Ability to safely and confidently handle animals Strong organizational and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently and make good decisions A proactive mindset — someone who notices what needs attention and takes action Dependability and excellent follow-through Ability to perform physical farm work and lift approximately 50 lbs. Comfort working outdoors in Texas weather Reliable transportation Availability for some weekdays and most weekends Preferred Experience Veterinary technician or veterinary-assistant experience is a plus, but not required . We also value experience with goats, newborn livestock, bottle babies, parasite management, vaccines and medications, farm/ranch operations, agritourism, or supervising animal-care employees. Who We're Looking For We need a manager who notices things and takes ownership . If an animal isn't acting normally, a gate isn't secure, an employee missed something, an area needs attention, or a guest needs help, we want someone who recognizes it and takes action rather than waiting to be told what to do. The right person will genuinely care about animal welfare, the team, the condition of the farm and the experience of every guest who visits. Pay:
$18.00 - $24.00 per hour

How many years of hands-on livestock or farm-animal care experience do you have? Which animals do you have hands-on experience caring for? Do you have experience with basic livestock health care, including recognizing illness, parasites, administering medications, vaccines, dewormers, or caring for sick animals? Do you have experience caring for newborn or young livestock, such as bottle babies, kidding/calving, or monitoring young animals for health concerns? Do you have previous experience supervising or leading employees? Are you available to work most Saturdays and Sundays, in addition to some weekdays? Are you comfortable working outdoors, performing physical farm chores, getting dirty, and lifting approximately 50 lbs? Are you able to reliably commute to Brookshire, Texas? Briefly describe your hands-on animal experience, including the types of animals you've cared for and your responsibilities.
