THE ROLE

The General Manager will take ownership of the hotel's day-to-day operations while leading a team of approximately 6-12 employees . This is a hands-on leadership position requiring someone who is comfortable working alongside their team and stepping in wherever needed to maintain smooth hotel operations. Key Responsibilities Recruit, train, develop, and motivate a team of 6-12 employees Provide hands-on leadership and support to ensure operational standards are consistently met Maintain a guest-ready hotel with high standards of cleanliness and service Respond to guest concerns and manage guest reviews effectively Ensure compliance with brand standards, operational deadlines, and company procedures Manage budgets, labor, occupancy, and P&L performance Drive operational efficiency and identify opportunities for improvement Develop relationships within the local community to support sales and occupancy Build partnerships with local organizations, businesses, competitive hotels, and key clients Lead in-house sales and marketing initiatives Support housekeeping, laundry, and public-space operations when required Step in to cover employee shifts when necessary to maintain operational continuity Ensure emergency procedures and property security protocols are followed Take a proactive, hands-on approach to solving operational challenges Perform other duties as assigned

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

1+ year of experience as a

Hotel General Manager Required:

Previous extended-stay hotel experience Valid driver's license Strong leadership and team-development skills Excellent organizational and time-management abilities Strong problem-solving skills Excellent verbal and written communication Proficient computer skills Ability to manage labor, budgets, occupancy, and P&L Highly proactive and hands-on approach to hotel operations Comfortable working a changing schedule Ability to work effectively in a small-team environment

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Ability to kneel, squat, sit, stand, bend, and twist for extended periods Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 20 lbs regularly and occasionally up to 50 lbs Ability to assist with operational tasks throughout the property when required
