We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Housekeeper Supervisor to lead and oversee the housekeeping team. This role ensures that all areas of the community meet the highest standards of cleanliness, safety, and comfort for residents, staff, and guests. This is a working supervisory position. We are looking for someone who will work alongside the team and help oversee daily assignments, quality, schedules and accountability.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Supervise, train, and support the housekeeping team to ensure efficient and high-quality cleaning operations. Create daily, weekly, and monthly schedules for housekeeping staff and assign tasks based on priorities and staffing needs. Conduct regular inspections of resident rooms, common areas, and other facilities to ensure cleanliness and adherence to health and safety standards. Deliver excellent customer service and promptly address residents' requests or concerns, escalating issues as appropriate. Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies, linens, and equipment; order replacements as needed and ensure proper storage and usage. Maintain accurate records of completed tasks, staffing schedules, and inventory reports. Enforce compliance with all health, safety, and regulatory requirements, including proper chemical handling and equipment operation. Handle complaints, performance issues, and disciplinary matters within the housekeeping team, providing coaching and feedback as needed. Collaborate with other department supervisors to ensure seamless operations and support community events or special projects. Operate and maintain laundry and cleaning equipment, ensuring efficiency and safety.
Skills and Qualifications:
Proven experience in housekeeping, preferably within a senior living, healthcare, or hospitality environment. Prior supervisory or team lead experience is required. Strong leadership, coaching, and performance management skills. Excellent organizational and time management abilities; capable of prioritizing tasks effectively. Strong customer service orientation with professionalism, tact, and attention to detail. Knowledge of cleaning products, equipment, and techniques, including proper chemical handling and safety protocols. Ability to work independently while motivating and guiding a team. Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and occasional extended hours as needed.
Work Schedule:
Tuesday - Saturday 8:30am - 4:00pm
