Responsibilities Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of housekeeping staff, ensuring efficient task completion and adherence to quality standards. Train new team members on cleaning procedures, safety regulations, sanitation practices, and proper use of cleaning equipment. Monitor cleaning operations to ensure compliance with health and safety standards, including sanitation protocols and OSHA regulations. Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, public areas, restrooms, laundry facilities, and other spaces to verify cleanliness and safety. Manage inventory of cleaning supplies, laundry products, and equipment; place orders as needed to maintain stock levels. Implement best practices for industrial cleaning and commercial cleaning projects to optimize efficiency and effectiveness. Foster a positive team environment through effective communication, leadership, and motivation; resolve staff issues promptly. Collaborate with management to develop schedules that meet operational needs while maintaining high service standards. Ensure all housekeeping activities align with customer service expectations by addressing guest or client concerns professionally. Experience Proven supervisory experience in housekeeping or custodial management within hospitality, healthcare, or commercial settings. Extensive knowledge of cleaning techniques including industrial cleaning, sanitation procedures, and janitorial best practices. Demonstrated ability to manage teams effectively while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety. Familiarity with management of laundry operations and experience with hospitality or institutional environments preferred. Strong understanding of safety regulations related to cleaning chemicals, equipment use, and workplace safety protocols. Excellent managerial communication skills with the ability to train staff and coordinate multiple tasks efficiently.
