Qualifications:

Qualified candidates should possess at least 1 year in a supervisory capacity with an emphasis on inspecting guest room and public space cleanliness, supply, inventory, and labor costs. Candidates should possess excellent communication skills and be available to work weekends and holidays. As the Housekeeping Supervisor you will plan, organize, develop and direct the overall operations of this department.

Responsibilities:

Assume the administrative authority, responsibility and accountability of supervising the housekeeping department and the laundry department. Supervise the day-to-day housekeeping and laundry functions Coordinate daily housekeeping/laundry services with Front Desk and Maintenance Attend department and staff meetings. Assist in orientation and training of housekeeping/laundry department personnel. Train assigned personnel in the proper techniques of cleaning methods and use of equipment, etc, as directed. Assign personnel to specific tasks in accordance with daily work assignments. Review and evaluate the work performance of assigned personnel. Meet with personnel to assist in identifying the correcting problem areas and/or the improvement of services. Provide leadership, follow instructions and take suggestions (constructive criticism) Ensure that housekeeping/laundry personnel follow established safety precautions when performing tasks and when using equipment and supplies. Ensure that assigned work areas are maintained in a clean, safe and sanitary manner. Monitor housekeeping/laundry procedures to ensure that supplies are used in an efficient manner to avoid waste. Ensure that equipment is cleaned, working properly and properly stored at the end of the shift. Maintain excellent attendance and punctuality.
