Housekeeping Supervisor Sheraton Lincoln Harbor Hotel - 3.9 Weehawken, NJ Job Details Full-time $23 - $25 an hour 16 hours ago Qualifications Hotel room cleaning Full Job Description Position Summary At the Sheraton Lincoln Harbor Hotel, we are seeking a dedicated and experienced Housekeeping Supervisor to join our team and help ensure our guests receive an exceptional stay through the highest standards of cleanliness, service, and hospitality. This role would be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Housekeeping Department and ensuring guest rooms, public areas, and other hotel facilities are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness, presentation, and guest satisfaction. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of housekeeping staff, including room attendants and housepersons. Assign rooms and work areas based on occupancy, staffing levels, and operational needs. Inspect guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house areas to ensure cleanliness and adherence to hotel standards. Follow up on room discrepancies, maintenance issues, guest requests, and special cleaning requirements. Assist with training, coaching, and development of housekeeping employees. Monitor employee attendance, punctuality, grooming, appearance, and adherence to hotel policies. Ensure proper use and handling of cleaning chemicals, equipment, linens, and supplies. Maintain appropriate inventory levels and communicate supply needs to management. Coordinate with Front Desk, Engineering, and other departments to address guest needs and room status updates. Respond promptly and professionally to guest concerns and requests. Ensure lost and found procedures are followed accurately. Promote a safe work environment and ensure employees follow all OSHA, hotel, and safety guidelines. Complete required housekeeping reports, checklists, and documentation accurately. Monitor productivity and ensure departmental standards are consistently met. Assist with deep-cleaning projects, inspections, and special assignments. Maintain confidentiality of guest and employee information. Perform other duties as assigned by management. Previous housekeeping experience in a hotel or hospitality environment required. Previous supervisory or leadership experience preferred. Knowledge of PMS is preferred (LightSpeed). Strong knowledge of hotel housekeeping procedures and cleanliness standards. Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Strong attention to detail and commitment to guest satisfaction. Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities. Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays, as required. Must be able to work collaboratively with other departments and employees. Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. Ability to bend, reach, and lift as required. Ability to inspect guest rooms and housekeeping areas throughout the shift.
