As a Housekeeping Manager, you will coordinate daily operations, supervise housekeeping staff, and uphold the highest standards of cleanliness and safety. Responsibilities Supervise and coordinate all housekeeping activities, including floor cleaning, vacuuming, sanitation, and general cleaning procedures. Train, mentor, and evaluate housekeeping staff to ensure adherence to quality standards and safety protocols. Manage cleaning schedules, assign tasks efficiently, and monitor progress to meet operational goals. Oversee the proper handling and storage of chemical agents in accordance with Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and safety regulations. Ensure all cleaning equipment is maintained, properly used, and stored securely to maximize efficiency and safety. Implement hotel housekeeping management procedures, including emergency response protocols and sanitation standards. Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces to ensure cleanliness, safety, and compliance with hotel policies. Requirements Proven experience in hotel housekeeping management or custodial experience within hospitality environments. Strong knowledge of floor care techniques, chemical handling, janitorial practices, and sanitation procedures. Ability to handle cleaning chemicals safely while maintaining compliance with SDS guidelines. Physical capability for manual handling tasks such as heavy lifting, moving furniture, or equipment setup. Excellent customer service skills with a focus on creating a welcoming environment for guests. Familiarity with hotel emergency procedures and safety protocols to ensure staff safety at all times. Experience operating cleaning equipment such as vacuums, buffers, or extractors is preferred. Demonstrated leadership skills in managing teams within a hospitality setting to foster teamwork and high performance.
