In this vital role, you will oversee the cleanliness, sanitation, and overall appearance of our guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces. Your leadership will ensure that all cleaning standards are met or exceeded, creating a welcoming environment that delights our guests. Responsibilities Supervise and coordinate daily housekeeping activities, including cleaning guest rooms, corridors, public areas, and staff facilities. Manage housekeeping staff schedules, assign tasks, and monitor performance to ensure efficiency and quality standards. Conduct regular inspections of rooms and public spaces to uphold cleanliness, sanitation, and safety protocols. Handle chemical agents safely by adhering to safety data sheets (SDS) guidelines and proper chemical handling procedures. Oversee the use of cleaning equipment such as vacuums, floor buffers, and other janitorial tools to ensure proper maintenance and operation. Train staff on hotel housekeeping management practices, safety procedures, emergency protocols, and customer service excellence. Maintain accurate records related to sanitation schedules, inventory of cleaning supplies, and compliance with hotel emergency procedures. Ensure compliance with health regulations by practicing proper sanitation techniques including floor care, vacuuming, and surface cleaning. Implement heavy lifting procedures safely when moving furniture or bulky supplies to prevent injury during manual handling tasks. Foster a positive environment focused on hospitality by delivering exceptional customer service to guests and team members alike. Experience Proven experience in hotel housekeeping management or custodial roles within the hospitality industry. Strong background in janitorial experience with knowledge of cleaning techniques for various surfaces and materials. Familiarity with hotel emergency procedures and safety protocols to ensure a secure environment for staff and guests. Hands-on experience handling chemical agents safely while maintaining high standards of sanitation. Demonstrated ability to lead a team effectively while managing multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced setting. Knowledge of cleaning equipment operation including vacuum cleaners, floor care machines, and other janitorial tools. Excellent customer service skills with a friendly approach toward guests and team members alike.
