Edenbrook Platteville is seeking a hands-on Environmental Services Supervisor to lead our housekeeping and laundry operations. This is a working supervisor role, meaning the ideal candidate will actively participate in daily laundry duties while overseeing the environmental services team. The supervisor ensures our facility meets high standards of cleanliness, infection control, and resident satisfaction.
Position:
Environmental Services Supervisor Responsibilities:
Supervise and lead housekeeping and laundry staff to ensure a clean, safe, and orderly environment. Perform daily laundry operations including washing, drying, folding, and distributing linens and clothing. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations related to environmental services. Train, schedule, and support environmental services staff. Conduct regular inspections to ensure quality standards are maintained. Collaborate with nursing and administrative teams to respond promptly to housekeeping and laundry needs. Maintain inventory of cleaning and laundry supplies; order as needed. Ensure proper use and maintenance of housekeeping and laundry equipment. Promote a culture of respect, accountability, and teamwork within the department.
Qualifications:
Prior experience in environmental services in a healthcare or long-term care setting strongly preferred. Supervisory or team lead experience a plus. Must be able to lift, carry, and move items up to 50 lbs. High school diploma or equivalent required. Strong communication and organizational skills. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively. Commitment to maintaining a safe and sanitary environment for residents and staff.
