Duties Perform comprehensive cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming to maintain spotless environments. Handle and operate cleaning equipment such as floor scrubbers, buffers, waxers, and carpet cleaners efficiently. Conduct specialized floor care procedures including scrubbing, waxing, buffing, polishing, and refinishing floors to restore their appearance and durability. Manage the safe handling and application of chemical agents used for cleaning, floor care, and disinfecting purposes Maintain cleanliness of restrooms, kitchens, common areas, and other designated spaces according to health standards. Ensure all cleaning activities comply with environmental services guidelines and safety regulations for chemical use and disposal. Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to client requests and ensuring their satisfaction with the cleanliness of their facilities. Experience Prior janitorial or custodial experience in a commercial setting is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for the right candidate. Familiarity with floor cleaning chemicals, equipment operation (including floor buffing and refinishing tools), and general custodial procedures is highly desirable. Experience handling chemical agents safely and knowledge of environmental services standards will be considered an asset. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in all cleaning tasks. Strong work ethic with a proactive attitude towards maintaining high standards of cleanliness in busy environments.
