About the Position Pristine Green Commercial Cleaning is seeking dependable, detail-oriented individuals to join our team maintaining interstate rest-area facilities in the Elkhart, Iowa area. Rest Area Facility Cleaners are responsible for ensuring their assigned facility remains clean, sanitary, stocked, and welcoming for the traveling public. This position is ideal for someone who takes pride in their work, is comfortable working independently, and values a consistent work schedule. Primary Responsibilities Clean and sanitize public restrooms, including toilets, urinals, sinks, mirrors, counters, partitions, and fixtures. Sweep, mop, vacuum, and maintain interior floor surfaces. Empty trash receptacles and replace liners. Restock toilet paper, paper towels, soap, and other facility supplies. Clean entrances, common areas, windows, doors, fixtures, and high-touch surfaces. Continuously monitor facility conditions and address cleaning needs as they arise. Perform scheduled deep-cleaning and detail-cleaning assignments. Maintain janitorial closets, equipment, chemicals, and supplies in a clean and organized condition. Properly use cleaning chemicals and equipment according to company procedures. Perform exterior litter pickup and other assigned facility-cleanliness duties. Report maintenance concerns, damage, safety hazards, supply shortages, or unusual activity to management. Complete required shift logs, cleaning checklists, inspections, and other documentation. Follow company procedures and applicable facility requirements. Maintain professional and respectful interactions with travelers, coworkers, supervisors, and state personnel. What We're Looking For Reliable and punctual — consistent attendance is essential. Comfortable working independently with limited supervision. Detail-oriented and willing to take ownership of the assigned facility. Able to follow written cleaning procedures and checklists. Comfortable cleaning public restrooms and performing routine janitorial duties. Able to communicate effectively with supervisors and coworkers. Available to work the assigned schedule, including weekends and holidays when scheduled. Reliable transportation to and from the assigned rest-area location. Previous commercial cleaning, custodial, housekeeping, or facility-maintenance experience is preferred but not required. Training will be provided. Physical Requirements Team members must be able to stand and walk for extended periods; bend, stoop, kneel, reach, and perform repetitive cleaning motions; operate standard commercial cleaning equipment; and lift, carry, push, or pull supplies and equipment necessary to complete assigned duties. Compensation Starting Wage:
