Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Full Time Day Custodian to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment across our facilities. This vital role involves performing a variety of cleaning and custodial tasks to ensure the highest standards of sanitation and cleanliness are upheld. Responsibilities Perform routine cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and trash removal to keep all areas pristine. Handle various cleaning agents and chemicals safely in accordance with established safety protocols and handling procedures. Operate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, scrubbers, vacuums, and other custodial tools effectively to maintain floors and surfaces. Conduct detailed sanitation of restrooms, kitchens, common areas, and high-touch surfaces to promote health and safety standards. Assist with light maintenance tasks such as minor repairs, painting touch-ups, or replacing fixtures as needed. Follow safety guidelines for heavy lifting and manual handling to prevent injuries during the transportation of supplies or equipment. Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring proper storage and timely replenishment. Requirements Proven custodial or janitorial experience in commercial or industrial settings. Knowledge of cleaning techniques, sanitation standards, and chemical handling safety procedures. Ability to operate cleaning machinery including floor buffers and other custodial equipment safely. Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and manual handling tasks while adhering to safe lifting practices. Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills. Good communication skills with a customer service-oriented attitude when interacting with staff or visitors. Familiarity with facilities maintenance tasks such as minor repairs or painting is a plus.
