Overview Temple Shalom, Medford Jewish Community Center, is seeking a full time custodian to work Monday through Friday from 6am to 2pm (40hr/wk), compensated at $27 hourly. Benefits include 2 weeks paid vacation and the following paid holidays: New Years Day, Martin Luther King Jr Day, President's Day, Memorial Day, Juneteenth, Fourth of July, Labor Day, Indigenous People's Day, Veteran's Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas eve/day.

There are three general responsibilities:

cleaning, event setup, and grounds care including snow shoveling / snow blowing. Duties Daily cleaning of school/camp building including mopping floors, vacuuming carpets, cleaning bathrooms, and dusting. Weekly cleaning of main building including mopping floors, vacuuming carpets, cleaning bathrooms, and dusting. Empty trash and recycling receptacles regularly, and set out recycling bins for weekly pickup. Break down and set up tables and chairs each week as required for each week's events. Take weekly inventory of supplies. Custodial support for a nursery school program that runs during the school year and a summer camp that runs in the summer. During winter must be able to clear paths of snow using a snow blower and shovel. Candidate option for overtime in the event of off-hours storms. Occasional light maintenance, such as touch up painting, changing light bulbs. Report any maintenance issues needed. Qualifications Candidate should be self motivated, responsible, and work well with others.

- Must successfully clear Criminal Offenders Record Information and Sex Offender Registry Information checks Ability to communicate and follow instructions in English. Ability to complete physical tasks including moving furniture, using a snowblower, and working on a ladder. Lift/carry/push weights up to 50 lbs.
