Overview We are seeking a motivated Day Time School Janitor to join our dynamic team. This energetic role involves maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors during daytime hours. Duties Perform daily cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and trash removal to ensure classrooms, hallways, restrooms, and common areas are spotless. Handle custodial responsibilities such as floor care, and using cleaning equipment like buffers and vacuums to maintain high standards of sanitation. Safely handle chemical agents used for cleaning and sanitation following all chemical handling safety procedures. Setup and cleaning of breakfast and lunch rooms Requirements Prior janitorial or custodial experience in a school or commercial environment is preferred. Knowledge of cleaning techniques, equipment operation and sanitation standards. Ability to handle chemical agents safely and adhere strictly to safety protocol guidelines. Capable of performing lifting and manual handling tasks using safe lifting practices. Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills for maintaining cleanliness standards. Customer service mindset to interact politely with staff, students, and visitors when necessary. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while following all safety procedures.
