Summary:

This position provides support in maintaining clean and safe store conditions, with an emphasis on mopping, sweeping, scrubbing and pulling cardboard. Primary learning challenge is proper use of equipment and product location for customer interaction. This position requires good judgment and decision making as well as social skills.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Ensures that carts are available for customers

• Collects carts in a safe manner and transports to cart room
• Removes all debris from carts Maintains proper floor conditions
• Maintains a clean and dry sales floor at all times
• Answers all clean up calls promptly
• Cleans up messes and spills promptly and thoroughly
• Sweeps and edges floors
• Scrubs and mops floors
• Cares for floor rugs Removes and disposes of trash
• Collects trash from inside and outside of the store
• Transports collected trash in bins to compactor and disposes properly Assists customers with questions or requests
• Answers questions or assists customers with product location
• Refers customers to the proper area or individual for help
• Assists customers with bagging and carrying out groceries Utilizes PPE as instructed Performs other miscellaneous duties
• Cleans bathrooms
• Picks up trash
• Performs weeding
