" Assistant Principal Inver Grove Heights Community Schools is an equal opportunity employer and supports an inclusive workplace environment. This is a full time, second shift position as a Custodian at Hilltop Elementary. To provide for the safe operation and completion of assigned duties to maintain a comfortable and safe environment for students, teachers, other staff personnel and community. Perform as custodian to successfully accomplish the job responsibilities associated with custodial support to the Director of Buildings and Grounds. Responsible for all cleaning and maintenance in buildings up to but not limited to doors, locks, restrooms, floors, walls, carpet, etc. Responsible for outside appearance of building including snow removal, lawn mowing, weed control, window cleaning, etc. Responsible for lunch duties to include lifting tables and milk containers, etc. Participate in "Right To Know" and annual health and safety training. Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor and/or designee High school diploma or equivalent Special Class Boiler License or the ability to obtain Minnesota Class D Driver's License Basic understanding of State and Local codes. Responsible for and adherence to standard safety procedures. Understanding of chemical dilution rates. Ability to operate all mechanical equipment in the building including boilers and related equipment, ballasts and related electrical work, water softeners, and fire alarm systems. Ability to recognize and react appropriately to potentially dangerous or harmful situations. Ability to operate independently and effectively while following established procedures and protocols. Ability to anticipate and/or recognize problems and/or complications and to determine and implement practical corrective solutions to problems and issues. Ability to communicate appropriately with individuals regardless of socioeconomic status. Ability to demonstrate critical thinking skills when completing unique or complex job assignments. Ability to determine what is confidential and proprietary information and how to use that information in a proper manner. Ability to multi-task in an organized, timely manner.
