Job Description
Schedule:
3rd Shift works approximately from midnight to 6:00 am with a starting pay rate of $16.40/hour.
A Sanitation Worker is responsible for cleaning and sanitizing processing equipment, production areas, floors, walls, drains, and other areas of the plant. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Clean and sanitize processing equipment, machinery, conveyors, tables, walls, floors, drains, and other facility areas.
Disassemble and reassemble equipment as required for proper cleaning and sanitation.
Use cleaning chemicals, detergents, sanitizers, and pressure-washing equipment according to company procedures and safety requirements.
Follow established sanitation procedures and schedules to ensure all areas meet company and food safety standards.
Remove food debris, grease, blood, feathers, and other waste from production areas.
Inspect cleaned areas and equipment to ensure they meet sanitation requirements.
Report damaged equipment, leaks, safety hazards, or sanitation concerns to the supervisor.
Properly handle, store, and dispose of cleaning chemicals and waste.
Follow all USDA, HACCP, food safety, OSHA, and company sanitation requirements.
Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow all safety procedures.
Complete sanitation records, checklists, and other required documentation accurately.
Perform other duties as assigned by management. Must be 18 years old.
Previous sanitation, janitorial, food processing, or poultry plant experience preferred but not required.
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
Ability to safely use cleaning chemicals, hoses, pressure washers, and basic cleaning equipment.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Must be dependable and willing to work scheduled hours, including nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime when needed.
