We're expanding our network of dependable, detail-oriented vacation rental cleaning professionals in both the Carolina Beach/Kure Beach and Surf City/Topsail Island markets. We're looking for experienced cleaners and cleaning teams who take pride in their work, communicate well, and understand that vacation-rental turnovers require a higher level of consistency and attention to detail than traditional residential cleaning. What You'll Do Contracted cleaning professionals will provide turnover cleaning services between guest stays, which may include: Complete vacation-rental turnover cleaning Clean and sanitize kitchens and bathrooms Vacuum, sweep, and mop floors Make beds and prepare bedrooms for arriving guests Check linens and bedding for stains, damage, or replacement needs Remove trash and ensure the property is properly reset Check commonly missed areas such as under beds and furniture Confirm furniture, décor, and household items are properly arranged Identify and report maintenance or property-condition issues Report guest damage or missing items Upload requested photos/checklists after completing turnovers Complete a final walkthrough before leaving the property Occasionally complete enhanced owner-stay preparation when requested Our goal is simple: the property should be completely guest-ready before the next arrival. What We're Looking For We are looking for individuals or established cleaning teams who are: Reliable and punctual Extremely detail-oriented Comfortable working independently Able to communicate quickly when an issue is discovered Comfortable using a smartphone for schedules, messages, checklists, and photos Able to reliably travel between assigned properties Available during vacation-rental turnover windows Available for weekend work during peak season, particularly Saturdays Able to handle a physically active cleaning role Vacation-rental cleaning experience is strongly preferred. Experience cleaning Airbnb, Vrbo, beach rentals, hotels, or other hospitality properties is especially valuable. Service Areas We're currently adding cleaning capacity in: Carolina Beach / Kure Beach Surf City / Topsail Island Applicants may work in one market or both, depending on location and availability. Independent Contractor Opportunity This is an independent contractor opportunity, not a traditional hourly employee position. Compensation is $30-$50/hour, depending on experience, and is based on the properties/services accepted and completed. Specific property rates and expectations will be discussed during the interview/onboarding process. What Going Coastal Provides Going Coastal handles the guest reservations, property schedules, owner relationships, and overall property management. Our cleaners are an important part of the team and will have access to a structured system for: Turnover schedules Property-specific information Cleaning expectations/checklists Reporting maintenance issues Communicating property concerns Coordinating with our inspection and operations teams We also use property inspections and quality-control processes to maintain consistent standards and identify areas where additional attention may be needed.
