Responsibilities Perform thorough cleaning of floors, surfaces, restrooms, windows, and common areas using appropriate cleaning agents and equipment such as floor buffers and scrubbers. Handle various cleaning supplies and chemical agents safely in accordance with chemical handling safety procedures. Conduct heavy lifting tasks involving custodial equipment or supplies while practicing safe lifting techniques. Maintain sanitation standards by disinfecting high-touch areas and ensuring waste is properly disposed of. Use specialized equipment for floor care including buffing machines, vacuum cleaners, and carpet extractors to uphold cleanliness standards. Assist with basic facilities maintenance tasks such as minor repairs or reporting issues requiring professional attention. Follow safety protocols diligently to prevent accidents or injuries during cleaning operations while adhering to all safety guidelines. Requirements Proven experience in janitorial or custodial roles with knowledge of commercial or industrial cleaning practices. Familiarity with cleaning equipment including floor buffers, vacuums, mops, and chemical dispensing tools. Ability to handle chemical agents safely by following proper handling safety procedures. Physical capability for manual handling tasks such as lifting heavy supplies or equipment safely and efficiently. Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills to maintain high sanitation standards. Customer service mindset with the ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Prior experience in facilities maintenance or industrial cleaning is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate.
