Position Summary The Hotel Cleaner is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, appearance, and overall comfort of guest rooms and public areas. This position plays a vital role in ensuring every guest enjoys a clean, welcoming, and comfortable stay while upholding the hotel's standards of quality, safety, and hospitality. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Clean and sanitize guest rooms, bathrooms, hallways, stairways, and public areas. Make beds and replace linens, towels, and other amenities. Vacuum, sweep, mop, and dust all assigned areas. Clean mirrors, windows, furniture, fixtures, and appliances. Restock guest room supplies, including toiletries, coffee, tissues, and towels. Remove trash and recycling from guest rooms and common areas. Report maintenance issues, damaged property, or safety concerns to management promptly. Ensure all rooms meet hotel cleanliness and presentation standards before guest check-in. Follow daily room assignment schedules and complete work efficiently. Assist with deep-cleaning projects as assigned. Respond courteously to guest requests and communicate professionally with guests and coworkers. Follow all hotel safety procedures and OSHA guidelines when handling cleaning chemicals and equipment. Maintain housekeeping carts, supplies, and storage areas in an organized manner. Help maintain the cleanliness of the hotel lobby, game room, restaurant, and other common spaces as needed. Qualifications Previous housekeeping or hotel cleaning experience preferred but not required. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong attention to detail. Reliable, punctual, and dependable. Positive attitude and commitment to excellent customer service. Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding guests and hotel operations. Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and climb stairs for extended periods. Lift and carry up to 40 pounds. Push and pull housekeeping carts and equipment. Perform repetitive cleaning tasks throughout the workday. Schedule Full-time and part-time positions available. Weekends and holidays may be required. Flexible scheduling based on hotel occupancy.
