Description The Austin Area School District is seeking reliable and motivated individuals to join our team as Part-Time and Substitute Custodians. This role is essential in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our students, staff, and community.
POSITION SUMMARY
Flexible, part-time hours (primarily evenings)
Starting pay: $15.00/hour
Opportunities for additional hours as a substitute
Perform routine cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and waste removal
Maintain facilities in accordance with health and safety standards
Identify and report maintenance or safety concerns promptly
Assist with setup and tear down for school events as needed
QUALIFICATIONS
High School Diploma or GED required - Current high school students are encouraged to apply; diploma/GED not required for student applicants Previous custodial or cleaning experience preferred, but not required
Ability to work independently and follow directions
Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness
