Maintenance & Light Janitorial STORExpress Location:

Full-Time Overview:

As a Maintenance & Light Janitorial professional at STORExpress, you are essential to providing a safe, clean, and professional environment for our customers. This is a hands-on role that combines routine cleaning with facility repairs to ensure our state-of-the-art properties remain in top condition. You will work independently, report to the Property Manager, and manage daily priorities under the direction of Property Manager, to keep the facility "5-star" ready.

Key Responsibilities:

Cleaning & Sanitation:

Sanitize offices, restrooms, and common areas as directed. Sweep and mop hallways and use floor scrubbers to maintain driveways and large surfaces.

Unit Preparation:

Sweep, remove debris, Adjust Door Tensions, and prepare a fresh, cleaned, and spotless vacated storage unit for a new rental.

Minor Repairs:

Perform light maintenance tasks such as replacing light bulbs, fixing unit door latches, Ability to maintain garage doors(tensions, track and use) , and making minor wall or paint touch-ups.

Grounds Upkeep:

Maintain property curb appeal through trash removal, weed control, and seasonal snow removal/salting. Must be reliable in Snow events.

Inventory & Logistics:

Pick up local inventory or supplies using company vehicles when required.

Safety Inspections:

Conduct regular property "walk-throughs" to identify potential safety hazards or major repair needs to report to management. Make Minor adjustments to doors, floors, and areas of concerns. Ability to have an accident prevention mindset and set up barriers to avoid risk.

Organization:

Upkeep of company tools, devices, and equipment. Inventory keeping and replacement procedures followed.

Quality of Work:

Ensures all assigned tasks are performed with care, precision, and a strong attention to detail to preserve the property's value. A can do attitude is valuable.

Flexibility:

Perform other duties as assigned by management to ensure efficient facility operations.

Qualifications:

Experience:

Prior experience in janitorial work, facilities maintenance, construction environments, or landscaping is preferred.

Technical Skills:

Comfortable using basic hand tools, lawn mowers, snow blowers, and lifts, and operating floor cleaning equipment. Ability to perform basic troubleshooting for building systems (e.g., HVAC filters, basic plumbing).

Requirements:

Must have a valid driver's license to operate company vehicles and pass a background check.

Physical:

Ability to lift 50+ lbs, stand for long periods, and work on ladders, lifts, or in various weather conditions.

Attributes:

Dependable, punctual, and capable of adjusting priorities based on the property's daily needs.
