THE POSITION
Become a Custodial Worker 1 with the Department of Transportation and support a team that depends on clean and organized facilities. You will play an important role in keeping work areas safe, neat, and ready for daily use. This job provides steady, meaningful work that contributes to the success of the organization. DESCRIPTION OF WORK
This position supports the organization by performing cleaning, upkeep, and basic maintenance tasks to ensure a safe and orderly environment. As a Custodial Worker 1, you will perform the following duties:
Building Cleaning:
Wash floors, polish furniture, clean lavatories, and maintain carpets and windows
Trash Removal:
Collect all trash and transport it to the dumpster
Outdoor Upkeep:
Shovel snow, sweep walks and maintain building entrances
General Assistance:
Move furniture, deliver supplies, and complete errands as assigned
Mail Duties:
Collect mail, distribute items and manage the raising and lowering of the flag
Safety Awareness:

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
Full-time employment
Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
Telework:
You will not have the option to telework in this position.
Salary:
In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.
