As a Janitorial Specialist, you will play a vital role in maintaining clean, safe, and welcoming environments across various facilities. Duties Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and trash removal to uphold cleanliness standards. Operate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, scrubbers, and vacuums efficiently and safely. Handle chemical agents following strict safety protocols for sanitation and disinfection purposes. Conduct heavy lifting and manual handling of cleaning supplies, furniture, and equipment with safe lifting practices. Maintain floors through buffing, polishing, and proper floor care techniques to ensure a polished appearance. Follow all safety procedures related to chemical handling, equipment use, and general custodial activities. Assist with minor facilities maintenance tasks and report any repairs or safety hazards promptly. Experience Prior janitorial or custodial experience is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidates. Familiarity with cleaning chemicals, safety procedures for chemical handling, and sanitation standards is highly advantageous. Experience operating commercial cleaning equipment such as floor buffers and scrubbers is a plus. Strong understanding of safe lifting practices and manual handling techniques to prevent injuries. Excellent customer service skills to interact professionally with staff and visitors while maintaining a clean environment.
