Job Description

Westminster Towers is looking for a organized hard working full time 1st and 2nd shift janitor. Hours will be 7am-3:30pm for 1st shift or 10:30am-7pm for 2nd shift. As a Janitor, you will be essential in maintaining a clean and safe environment for our organization. Reporting to the Janitorial Supervisor, your core responsibilities include keeping the building looking clean and well maintained.
Sample of duties include:
cleaning windows and entry doors, spot cleaning carpets, polishing metal hardware, mopping floors, changing light bulbs and other light maintenance duties as assigned. Join our team to contribute to a welcoming atmosphere and uphold our commitment to cleanliness and safety.
CRITICAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERTISE 1.
Must be able to follow oral and written instructions 2. High school diploma or equivalent preferred. 3. One (1) years experience preferred. 4. Ability to read gauges accurately. 5. Ability to operate machinery (i.e., buffer, carpet shampooer, etc.). 6. Light duty mechanical skills (ability to use and work with hand and electrical tools). 7. Possess valid driver's license in good standing.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS 1.
The performance of this position requires the lifting of objects which weigh less than or equal to 25 pounds on a daily basis. 2. The performance of this position requires the lifting of objects which weigh in the excess of or equal to 50 pounds occasionally. 3. This position requires bending, stooping, squatting, reaching, pushing, pulling, twisting, and walking on a daily basis. 4. Working conditions will consist of inside and outside climate. 5. This position will expose the worker with cleaning chemicals and possibly infectious waste.
EQUIPMENT USED IN PERFORMING FUNCTIONS OF POSITION 1.
General Janitorial implements including: brooms, mops, dusters, etc. 2.
Vacuum Cleaners:
hand-held and upright. 3. Two-way radios. 4. Buffers 5. Carpet shampooers 6. Hand tools
