In this vital role, you will be responsible for the thorough cleaning, inspection, and maintenance of industrial tanks used in various manufacturing and processing environments. Your expertise will ensure that all tanks meet strict sanitation standards, comply with safety protocols, and uphold food safety regulations. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to high-quality industrial operations while working in a fast-paced, safety-conscious environment. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive cleaning and sanitation of industrial tanks using appropriate chemical agents and cleaning techniques. Handle and apply chemical agents safely, adhering to all chemical handling safety procedures and PPE requirements. Conduct inspections of tanks for damage, corrosion, or contamination, documenting findings accurately. Follow strict safety protocols including proper use of respiratory protection and other PPE during all cleaning activities. Maintain cleanliness of work areas, including surrounding equipment and facilities, ensuring compliance with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) standards. Operate heavy lifting equipment as needed for tank access or maintenance tasks while following safety guidelines. Assist in training new team members on proper cleaning procedures, chemical handling, and safety protocols. Qualifications Proven experience in industrial cleaning, custodial work, or janitorial roles within manufacturing or food processing environments. Knowledge of chemical handling safety procedures and the use of personal protective equipment (PPE). Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks required for cleaning large tanks and equipment. Basic math skills for measuring chemicals and calculating cleaning solutions accurately. Familiarity with sanitation standards, GMP regulations, and food safety practices is highly desirable. Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
