Job Description
Overview We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Custodian to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and order in our facilities, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all. This position involves a variety of cleaning and maintenance tasks across commercial, and industrial settings. Duties Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming to maintain cleanliness in assigned areas. Conduct facilities maintenance tasks such as minor repairs and upkeep of equipment. Execute commercial cleaning duties, ensuring that all areas meet health and safety standards. Carry out custodial responsibilities including trash removal, restroom sanitation, and replenishing supplies. Utilize floor care techniques including buffing and waxing to maintain the appearance of floors. Assist with residential painting projects as needed to enhance the aesthetic appeal of spaces. Act as a porter by transporting materials and supplies throughout the facility as required. Engage in industrial cleaning tasks, ensuring compliance with safety protocols while handling various cleaning agents and equipment. Requirements Previous experience in custodial or commercial cleaning roles is preferred but not mandatory. Knowledge of facilities maintenance practices is a plus. Familiarity with floor care techniques such as buffing and waxing is desirable. Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods. Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards. Excellent time management skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
