Training at 29 Loaves is an investment for both of us, so we're looking for someone who expects to remain in the area and can commit to the role for at least the next 12 months, if possible. We understand that life happens, but reliability, communication, and consistency are essential to this position. About 29 Loaves 29 Loaves is a small artisan bagel company inspired by New York bagels and built in California's high desert. We serve farmers markets, hotels, wholesale customers, special events, and our innovative self-service Bagel Portal. We're building something different, and every person on our team plays an important role in creating that experience. The Position This is a part-time position with a primary assignment in either Back of House or Farmers Market operations, depending on our needs. Everyone at 29 Loaves learns the business. While you'll have a primary role, we cross-train our team so we can support one another as the business grows. Back of House Responsibilities Preparing and shaping bagels Weighing ingredients accurately Cleaning and maintaining kitchen equipment Washing dishes and keeping the kitchen organized Packaging products for retail and wholesale Maintaining exceptionally high quality standards Following recipes and procedures exactly as taught Farmers Market & Pop-up Responsibilities Setting up and breaking down our market booth Greeting customers with warmth and enthusiasm Preparing bagels with cream cheese and specialty spreads Processing payments Sharing the story behind 29 Loaves Maintaining a beautiful, organized display Representing the brand with professionalism What We're Looking For You don't need bakery experience. We can teach bagel making. We can't teach someone to care.
